Ban Appeal

A Ban Appeal is made by players who want to appeal their ban because they regret their previous actions or believe their ban was unjustified.

Requirements

When appealing a ban you must meet these requirements

1. You must be punished on Zentic
2. You must be appealing for yourself
3. You must haven't appealed for the same punishment before
4. You must own the punished account

Tips

When appealing a ban you should consider some of these tips

• Write clearly and correctly with minimal grammar/spelling mistakes
• Include details that are relevant and what you were doing during before the ban
• Be respectful and understanding to the staff team
• Don’t harass/spam staff members with your appeal, make appeals in the wrong section, make a public post about your appeal, or bump your appeal

Process

Once an appeal is submitted it will be sent to a staff member for review. If your punishment is temporary it will likely be denied because they are typically done by staff members with sufficient proof and they’re easy to wait out. Failure to meet the requirements or answer the questions seriously/properly will result in immediate denial.

For an anticheat ban where you deny cheating, the appeal will be escalated for an admin to review. The staff member will then check your anticheat logs and determine whether you were cheating or not. Keep in mind that the decision made is final and will most likely not be reevaluated. Please don’t message staff or talk about ban appeals outside of this form.

For an anticheat ban where you admit to cheating, your punishment history will be checked. If you have already admitted in the past and received a reduced ban than your appeal will be denied. If it’s your first offence then your ban will be reduced to 30 days. Depending on the situation, staff members may use discretion to choose what will happen.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long will it take to get a response?
Depending on how busy the staff members are and the amount of other appeals it can take from one day to two weeks.

What does “Escalated” mean?
It means that the appeal has been forwarded to higher staff members to review. This would typically happen if this was an anticheat ban.

Can I use this to appeal a mute?
Yes, although you are only allowed to appeal permanent mutes. Just fill in the information as a mute appeal instead of ban.

Can I appeal more than once?
You are only allowed to appeal once for a certain punishment. You can only appeal again if the punishment is different from your previous one. 

Can I appeal for a temporary punishment?
You’re allowed to appeal a temporary punishment, however, they typically get denied due to that fact that it is a minor punishment and you can just wait it out.

What if I have questions about the appeal that are not answered here?
You can contact a staff member via website messaging, Discord, in-game message, etc. to ask them your question.
